Wyoming was one of our favorite states that we visited on our cross-country road trip! Click on any of the pictures or titles below in my Wyoming travel guide to read more about each sight. And make sure you check out my National Park guides for the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone!
This is such an odd sight! It’s pretty remarkable to be driving through the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden see this giant tower on the horizon. No one really knows how it was formed, but there are plenty of Native American folklore stories!
We made a couple quick stops to see Independence Rock and Devils Gate – anyone who played Oregon Trail as much as I did growing up will appreciate these! Watch out for the giant mosquitoes around dusk at Independence Rock though!
Another interesting detour on our trip – we saw this labeled in our atlas and decided to make a quick stop. Unfortunately because of the timing, we got here at 10:30pm, and it was pretty creepy! Supposedly there is a statue of Sacagawea inside though!
One of my favorite places on earth. Seriously, this park is so incredibly gorgeous. So many great hikes and absolutely beautiful views. We spent four days here and I can’t wait to go back! Click through to read my guide to Grand Teton National Park – what to do, the best hikes, and where to stay!
The first National Park! Drive through Yellowstone to see lots of geysers – Old Faithful is super popular, but my favorite was Grand Prismatic Spring! Click through to read about all the sights in Yellowstone.
