Our hike through Cascade Canyon really wore us out, so we used Day 6 of our road trip as a recovery day. First up was breakfast at Signal Mountain Lodge!
Coffee with a view!
Next we decided to drive out to our favorite photo spot, Oxbow Bend. On the way we stopped to get this gorgeous shot of Jackson Lake!
And the view from Oxbow Bend wasn’t so bad either 🙂
Next up was a drive to the top of Signal Mountain for a view of the Tetons from above!
Jackson Hole ski resort is only about 30 minutes from the Tetons, and it’s a place J has been wanting to visit, so we decided to spend the afternoon driving down there to see what it’s like in the summer. It took us a while to get there because we kept stopping for more gorgeous views!
We stopped at Mormon Row to see the famous Moulton Barns. It’s a popular spot for photographers, and I can see why!
And finally we reached Jackson Hole!
We decided to take the tram up to the top of the mountain – the tall pointy mountain in the background of this shot is Grand Teton!
It was cool to see the ski area in the summer. I’m sure we’ll be back in the winter sometime soon, too!
We got some hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps and sat at the top for a while enjoying the view 🙂
I was wearing my moose shirt, so of course we had to get a pic with the moose in the village!
On our way back to our campsite we stopped to get a picture with the National Park sign. Love this one!
And we saw our second moose! (Probably because I was wearing my moose shirt!)
It was a great relaxing day, and we were ready for our next hike up to Amphitheater lake in the morning!
